Hi there. My name’s John Michael Cropper. I’m a multimedia journalist, newspaper reporter and a fledgling photographer, among other things. I call the Heartland home and I like it that way.
I graduated in March 2009 from the Ohio State University, where I studied Public Affairs Journalism and Italian. I edited thelantern.com, wrote for community newspapers and blogged about Columbus. Now, I cover the goings-on of my hometown, Wilmington, Ohio, a place with a thousand untold stories.
On this site, I write primarily about gardening, about food and travel and my poor excuse for photography. Also, everything in between.
