A makeshift speakeasy, an assortment of friends

Wednesday nights in Wilmington have adopted a regular routine of bowling and open-mic at the General Denver, both of which seem to keep growing as the weeks go by.

Last week, though, was the last Open Mic Night for at least a few weeks, so Mark and Taylor decided to fill the late night void and host a Holiday party slash BYOB speakeasy gathering at the Red Brick, which houses Main Street Yoga, Wilmington Counseling Associates and the ECC office.

There was a great mix of regulars and old friends in town for the week. Bela and the gang provided the music for the night, and they sounded as good as ever in the new, intimate setting.

From the looks of things last night, there will likely be another event next Wednesday, and hopefully I’ll be far enough removed from this sickness to play some songs with Frankie.
