I’m slowly piecing this site together with clips and photographs I’ve written and taken over the years, and it’s teetering toward presentable.
I stumbled across a lantern.com archive a few weeks ago which had everything I ever wrote and produced there archived. That made the task of uploading clips so much easier, and I just posted a number of them in the Clips page. I still have a mountain of print clips from more recent publications that are waiting to be scanned and uploaded, and since discovering issuu.com sometime last week I’m excited to get those up here; Issuu is probably the most useful tool I’ve seen for print journalists transitioning old clips to the Web.
I’m not ecstatic with the Photo page yet, because I’ve seen other WordPress hosted blogs that have beautiful gallery settings for displaying photos. I’m still tinkering, but for now, an embedded Flickr sideshow seems to be working well.
In other news, I’ve stopped writing at my heretofore personal blog lifeohio.com, and I’ll be focusing all of my energy here.
